Actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, whose statement has been recorded in the porn racket case involving her husband and businessman Raj Kundra, has said that she is too busy with her own work to be asking her husband what he does.
India Today TV has accessed a statement Shilpa Shetty Kundra had given to the Mumbai crime branch in the porn racket case against Raj Kundra on July 23.
The Mumbai crime branch on Wednesday filed a chargesheet in the porn racket case naming Raj Kundra, the IT head of his firm Ryan Thorpe, two other accused, Yash Thakur alias Arvind Shrivastava, a resident of Singapore and Kundra’s brother-in-law identified as Pardeep Bakshi, a resident of London.
In her statement to the crime branch officials, Shilpa Shetty said that Raj Kundra had joined the firm named Armsprime media with Saurav Kushwaha as partner in 2019. Armsprime media would run videos of actresses like Poonam Pandey and various others where they shot videos exposing themselves on their own wish.
Shilpa Shetty said that she had asked Raj Kundra about it to which he replied saying that the OTT platform was doing well and he was making good profits. Raj Kundra then separated from Saurav Kushwaha due to some issues.
“I have come to know today that through Viaan industries, a hotshot app was created and porn videos made through it were sold to Pardeep Bakshi to his firm Kenrin. I am busy with my own work and I don’t ask my husband what he does and he doesn’t tell me anything about his work.I don’t know anything about all this,” Shilpa Shetty Kundra told the Mumbai Crime Branch officials.
The actress said that she knew the accused, Umesh Kamath, as he worked for Viaan Industries and in February, when he was arrested, she asked Raj Kundra about it. He had then told her that Umesh Kamath independently worked with actress Gehana Vashisht and had created porn videos and sold them and, for the same, he had been arrested.
She has further said that she doesn’t know anything about the app named Bollyfame.
Shilpa Shetty in her statement further said that while she was in United Kingdom, shooting for Big Brother she had met Raj Kundra through a common friend named Farat Hussain. Their relationship turned into marriage in 2009 and since then Raj Kundra stayed in India running various businesses.
