Atleast 12 labourers were killed after the vehicle carrying them to Samruddhi Highway project work overturned.
At least 13 labourers were killed and three sustained severe injuries in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district after a vehicle carrying them for Samruddhi Highway project work overturned on Friday at 12 pm, according to the police.
The incident took place near Targaon village in Sindkhed Raja district.
Among the 13 labourers, eight died on the spot while five were being taken to the Jalna Hospital.
Three labourers succumbed to their injuries on the way, while the remaining two died in the hospital.
The labourers allegedly hailed from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
More deaths in the incident are suspected.
