Ola Electric Scooter launch date: Finally, Ola Electric Scooter is on its way! Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has finally revealed the D-Day. Aggarwal has tweeted on August 3, “Thanks to all who have reserved our scooter! Planning a launch event for the Ola Scooter on 15th August. Will share full specs and details on product and availability dates. Looking forward to it!”
He has been dropping hints in his series of tweets recently. He recently tweeted, “Finalising the launch date over some Chai! Will announce soon. Stay tuned Slightly smiling face.”
He surely knows how to keep the ball rolling with all his tweets from time to time. Similarly, he also shared a poll for the e-scooter delivery hinting that the company will be providing a unique delivery experience such as online and home delivery options. He has been sharing the updates behind the curtain-raiser.
Again, he tweeted: “Engineering hiring situation in Bengaluru – thinking of offshoring some work to a lower cost center in SF, Bay Area!” The company has already unveiled 10 new colours of its yet-to-be-launched e-scooter. The e-scooter can be seen in pastel red, pastel yellow, pastel blue, metallic silver, metallic gold, metallic pink, matte black, matte blue, matte grey. Ola Electric also shared the video, where all the 10 shades of the e-scooter can be seen. The company has mentioned that the Ola e-scooter will come with class-leading speed, range, largest-in-class boot space, superior range and many first-in-class features and the e-scooter will be priced aggressively to make it widely accessible. “The Ola Scooter will be competitively priced, and the final pricing will be announced soon,” Ola Electric said on its website.
Ola has mentioned that the Electric Scooter has features like automatic routing through charging stations en route, a smart charging system that’s fully automated to charge without the need for a card or cash, and a connected app to keep an eye on the charging status.
Ola announced on July 15 that the Electric Scooter can be reserved by paying just Rs 499. Ola had tweeted: “It’s day 1 of the revolution, the day we’ve all been eagerly waiting for! The Ola Electric Scooter can now be reserved at just Rs 499. So #ReserveNow to #JoinTheRevolution at http://olaelectric.com and be first in line to the future of mobility!”
On booking and cancellation, Ola has replied: “Reserving an Ola Scooter by paying Rs 499 means that you will be first in line to purchase it when we announce deliveries. You can cancel and get a refund anytime. To reserve your Ola Scooter, simply click here. You’ll have to log in via your phone number, using an OTP validation. Post signing in, you can reserve your Ola Scooter by paying Rs 499 using net banking, credit/debit cards, UPI, e-wallets, or through OlaMoney. Yes, you may reserve multiple scooters if you wish.”
The Ola Scooter will be competitively priced, and the final pricing will be announced soon, the company has mentioned.
