The Madhya Pradesh government will be reopening the schools in the state from July 26 for the students of Classes 11 and 12.
The government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a big decision regarding the reopening of schools in the state. The state government has decided to reopen the schools for physical classes for the students of Classes 11 and 12 from July 26.
The Madhya Pradesh government has opted for a phase-wise approach for the reopening of schools in the state. After classes are resumed for Class 11 and 12 students, the government will reopen the schools for Classes 9 and 10 from August 5.
According to the guidelines issued by the MP government, the classrooms will be open for offline studies for only two days a week. Class 11 students will attend school on Tuesday and Friday, while Class 12 students will attend school on Monday and Thursday.
Apart from this, the students of Classes 9 and 10 will only attend classes on one day of the week. Class 9 students will attend school on Saturday while the students of Class 10 will attend school on Wednesday, as per the official guidelines.
50 percent capacity in classrooms
As per the instructions of the Madhya Pradesh government, all the schools will have to keep in mind that the number of students in classrooms should not exceed 50 percent capacity, to ensure social distancing in the premises.
There will also be a ban on all kinds of mass activities such as prayers, student meetings, and swimming pool sessions so that students cannot gather in one place. The school buses will be sanitized daily and students will be seated at a certain distance.
The hostels will also reopen for the students of Classes 11 and 12 from July 26. According to the guidelines, the vaccination of hostel staff will be mandatory. At the same time, coaching institutes can also be reopened for Class 12 from August 5.
Instructions have been given to the local administration to regularly check the coaching institutes to ensure whether the Covid-19 protocol is being followed there or not. The teachers will also be vaccinated on priority till July 31 to facilitate the reopening of educational institutes.
