RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh received 48,000 new doses of covaxin out of which 9,800 doses were allotted to Raipur district. As many as 1,15,73,458 people have received vaccine doses in state.
86 % of citizens above 45 years and 28% in the age group of 18 to 44 have got the first vaccine in state. As many as 94.1 lakh people of the state have got the first vaccine and 21.63 lakh have got both the vaccines, said health officials.
3,09,094 health workers, 3,16, 717 front-line workers, 50,59,784 above 45 years of age group and 37,24, 820 citizens in the age group of 18 to 44 years were administered the first vaccine in the state.
At the same time, 2,43,880 health workers, 2,23,659 front-line workers, 15,95,478 above 45 years and 1,00,026 people in the age group of 18 to 44 were given both the vaccines.
In the state, 91% health workers, 100 % front-line workers, 86 % citizens above 45 years and 28 per cent youth in the age group of 18 to 44 have got the first vaccine to prevent corona. At the same time, 72 per cent of health workers, 76 per cent of front-line workers and 27 per cent of people above 45 years have got both the vaccines.
To prevent corona infection, so far, around 4.10 lakh people are vaccinated in Balod district, around 4.8 lakh in Balodabazar-Bhatapara , 2.34 lakh in Balrampur-Ramanujganj, 3.49 lakh in Bastar, 2 lakh in Bemetara, 1.9 lakh in Bijapur, 7.30 lakh in Bilaspur,1.64 lakh in Dantewada, 3.87 lakh in Dhamtari, 8.41 lakh in Durg, 1.96 lakh in Gariyabandh, 1.50 lakh in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 5.44 lakh in Janjgir-Champa and around 3.19 lakh vaccines have been administered in Jashpur.
In Kabirdham district, the first and second doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines are given to 2.98 lakh people. Around 3.08 lakh in Kanker, 1.99 lakh in Kondagaon, 5.24 lakh in Korba, 2.27 lakh in Koriya, 5.80 lakh in Mahasamund, 2.28 lakh in Mungeli, 46,441 in Narayanpur, 11.44 lakh in Raigarh, 13.50 lakh in Raipur, 7.22 lakh in Rajnandgaon, 1.45 lakh in Sukma, 2.75 lakh in Surajpur and 4.27 lakh in Surguja have been vaccinated so far.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh on Thursday reported 217 new coronavirus positive cases and one fatality, taking the infection count to 10,00,763 and death toll to 13,507, a health official said.
The number of recoveries reached to 9,84,015 after a total of 44 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 315 others completed their home isolation during the day.
The number of active cases in the state stands at 3,241, the official said.
Raipur district recorded 11 new cases, taking its caseload to 1,57,589, including 3,136 deaths. Janjgir-Champa district recorded 38 new cases, Balodabazar 21 and Bilaspur 15, he said.
With 39,352 samples tested on Thursday, the overall test count in the state went up to 1,10,58,038.
Over 1.15 crore doses of vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered to people in all categories in the state till Wednesday. While 93.73 lakh people have received the first jab, 21.49 lakh have been vaccinated with the second dose as on Wednesday, officials said.
Chhattisgarh’s coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 10,00,763, new cases 217, deaths 13,507, recoveries 9,84,015, active cases 3,241, tests today 39,352, total tests 1,10,58,038.
