HYDERABAD: The Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad, which was closed for visitors owing to the Covid-19 spread, will reopen from July 11. Visitors to the zoo will have to strictly follow the Covid-19 protocol as approved by the Telangana chief wildlife warden, the zoo said on Friday. The Covid-19 protocol makes it mandatory for all visitors to undergo thermal screening at the point of entry.
“Visitors with symptoms of cold and fever will not be permitted to enter the zoo. Also, children below 10 years and adults above 65 years are advised to avoid visiting the zoo especially on weekends and public holidays,” a statement issued by the zoo authorities read.
The zoo authorities said all moats are open except some facilities, including Safari Park Complex, Nocturnal Animal House, Reptile House, Aquarium, Fossil Museum, and Natural History Museum, which will remain closed until further orders.
