You can book a 16-day Char Dham pilgrimage organised by IRCTC

The Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has some good news for those waiting to go on a pilgrimage since the lockdown began last year. The IRCTC is going to launch a 16-day pilgrimage that will take you to four of the most important holy destinations in the country. The pilgrimage will cover the following locations – Badrinath, Jagannath Puri, Rameshwarama, and Dwarkadhish.

The pilgrimage has been scheduled to begin from September 18 from Delhi. Pilgrims can expect a comfortable, and in fact luxurious journey as the package has some fine features. The train will be a state-of-the-art Deluxe AC Tourist Train with shower cubicles, modern kitchen, washroom with sensor based facilities, two fine dining restaurants, and more.

You can choose between two kinds of coaches, 1st AC, and 2nd AC, and the train comes with additional features such as CCTV cameras, and even security guards stationed at each coach.

Only 120 passengers can book the pilgrimage, due to COVID protocols, and most importantly, passengers should have received at least one dose of vaccination. The travel package starts at INR 78585, and it includes all meals that are vegetarian, accommodation at deluxe hotels, transfers, sightseeings, travel insurance, and the services of IRCTC.

According to the itinerary, pilgrims will be able to visit Badrinath including Mana Village (near China border), Narsingh Temple (Joshimath), Rishikesh, Jagannath Puri including Golden beach of Puri, Konark Sun Temple, Chandrabhaga beach, Rameshwaram including Dhanushkodi, Dwarkadhish including Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Shivrajpur beach and Bet Dwarka (an island).
