LUCKNOW: Unaided Private School Association (UPSA) has written to UP deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma, requesting him to get schoos reopened. UPSA said that given the decline in Covid cases, schools should be reopened in a phased manner in the interest of students.
“When gyms, malls, stadiums have been reopened then why not schools. Already, students’ education has suffered a lot during the two Covid waves. Now, when the cases have dropped the offline classes should be resumed,” said UPSA president Anil Agarwal.
He said the association has sent a proposal to the state government for reopening schools from July 19 for classes 9-12 and subsequently for classes 1 to 8 from August 2.
