Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that extra marks will be awarded to Class 8 to 12 students who will cater for and nurture plant saplings.
On Sunday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a new policy regarding extra marks for the students of Classes 8 to 12. According to it, extra marks will be awarded to those students who will cater for and nurture plant saplings. He said that the modalities for making the provision will be worked out soon.
The Chief Minister announced it after inaugurating a Panchkarma Wellness Centre, located in the panoramic view of Nature Camp Thapli and Nature Trails of Morni Hills in Panchkula district. He added that the youth from the neighbouring areas will be given training for paragliding and a club will be formed to conduct different activities.
The club will be named after legendary sportsperson Milkha Singh, who passed away here due to Covid-related complications on Friday.
“It will be named after ‘Flying Sikh’ (late) Milkha Singh,” Khattar said.
Amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government has already cancelled the Class 12 board exams. The education minister has said that the state board will take all the necessary steps and share the modalities soon regarding the marking scheme and result.
