HYDERABAD: Over 40% of residents in the state seem to be eagerly waiting for the malls to reopen as 42% of respondents in a survey said that they will go to a mall at least once in the next 60 days if they reopen.
In a survey conducted by LocalCircles, which had little over 1,000 respondents, 17% of the respondents said that they want to go to a mall to purchase household and food items, 11% to buy discretionary items, and 10% want to go to a mall so that there will be some change in their daily routine.
As many as 43% of the respondents, however, said that they are not planning to pay a visit to the mall in the next two months.
When it comes to going to restaurants, the response is more or less the same, as about 40% of respondents said that they would like to go to a restaurant for a meal in the next two months.
Many are also looking forward to avail domestic help and other service providers as 62% of the respondents said that they are expecting them to visit their homes in the next 30 days.
The situation in the country also looks more or less similar to that of Telangana, as 31% of respondents from across the country said that they are planning to visit a restaurant, and 29% are planning to visit malls in the next 60 days.
In addition, 75% of Indian households are expecting visitors like domestic help, service providers, etc, to their homes in the next 30 days. Total 43% are expecting visits from friends and relatives that do not stay with them, while 27% are expecting friends, neighbours, and colleagues to visit them in the next 30 days.
In total, the survey received 34,000 responses from citizens residing in 314 districts of the country.
