The Indian Army held an awareness drive and vaccination camp at Galuthi in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Thursday.
The Indian Army on Thursday conducted an awareness drive and a Covid-19 vaccination camp at Galuthi in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, in accordance with the “All of Government” approach in combating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The public awareness campaign aimed to dispel vaccination myths as well as provide information on possible side effects. Villagers were also educated on the importance of vaccination.
The two-phase programme included an awareness drive in which the Medical Officer encouraged the local population to get vaccinated and explained the benefits of doing the same.
The Indian Army, in collaboration with Dr Tarif Khan of Manjakote’s Primary Health Centre, conducted a vaccination camp for the local population over the age of 19 in the second phase.
The Sarpanches and residents of Manjakote expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for organising the awareness drive and vaccination camp.
This joint civil-military initiative benefited a total of 188 locals in vaccine administration. Locals and prominent figures praised the Indian Army’s vaccination campaign.
