Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra Bolero and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza were the top five selling compact SUVs in May 2021.

The Kia Sonet was the largest-selling compact SUV in India in May 2021, a month that witnessed the production activities of the automakers being severely affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the Tata Nexon was at the second position, the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra Bolero and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza were among the top five selling compact SUVs during the month.
Kia Sonet – 6,627 units
The Kia Sonet witnessed sales of 6,627 units in May 2021. However, the compact SUV had higher sales of 7,724 units in April 2021. It is priced between Rs 6,79,000 to Rs 13,25,000 (ex-showroom, India).
Tata Nexon – 6,439 units
As many as 6,439 units of the Tata Nexon were sold in May 2021. Its sales stood at 6,938 units in April 2021. The Nexon is available in the price range Rs 7,19,900 to Rs 12,95,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Hyundai Venue
The Hyundai Venue, which was the best-selling compact SUV in April 2021 with sales of 11,245 units, registered sales of only 4,840 units in May 2021. It is offered in the price bracket of Rs 6,92,100 to Rs 11,76,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mahindra Bolero – 3,517 units
The Mahindra Bolero recorded sales of 3,517 units in May 2021. The sales were substantially better at 6,152 units in April 2021. The Bolero’s price starts at Rs 8,40,322 and goes up to Rs 9,39,082 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza – 2,648 units
From 11,220 units in April 2021, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza’s sales dropped to 2,648 units in May 2021. Its price ranges from Rs 7,51,500 to Rs 11,41,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
