West Bengal Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 Cancelled: The West Bengal government had cancelled the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary, that is the Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021. Recently, there is a big development for the Class 11 students under the state board. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has notified to the heads of all Higher Secondary (HS) institutions that all the Class 11 students should be promoted to Class 12 within July 15, 2021.
In the circular addressed to the heads of all HS schools by WBCHSE, it is said, “All H.S. Institutions are instructed to complete the formalities related to promotion of students from Class XI to Class XII and admission to Class XII within 15th July 2021. Guardians of the students with proper identity documents may complete the admission procedure on behalf of their wards. All protocols related to Covid-19 should be strictly maintained.”
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the cancellation of the Class 10 Class 12 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Board Exams 2021 in the state because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Incidentally, on May 27, 2021, while addressing the media, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 will be held in July and August from their respective schools. The West Bengal Chief Minister had also stated that the Class 12 Higher Secondary Board Exams 2021 will be conducted in the last week of July and the Class 10 Madhyamik Board Exams 2021 will be conducted in the second week of August. The state government decided to conduct the West Bengal Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 in a shorter format and within the school premises. The state government had also formed an expert committee for the issue.
The CBSE Class 10 Class12 Board Exams 2021 has also been cancelled. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the evaluation criteria for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021, however, the assessment criteria for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 have not been notified yet.
Expectedly, the evaluation criteria for WBBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 will also be announced soon. Amidst this situation, the promotion of the Class 11 students to Class 12 is certainly a relief for the students.
