Maruti is planning on an update for the Vitara Brezza. We are expecting a new Maruti Rs 9 lakh SUV to come in 2022. In this article, we are going to take a closer look at this new SUV from Maruti. What are the significant changes going to be? Let’s find out quickly below.
Safety Change
As of now, the Maruti Vitara Brezza gets a 4-star safety rating. With the new generation of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, it might get better safety. It will be based on the HEARTECT platform. We are hoping that this will improve the structural rigidity and could give the 5-star safety rating to this Maruti car.
Engine
In this Maruti Rs 9 lakh SUV, we are expecting 2 engine option. One would be the current 1.5-litre petrol engine. The other one would be Maruti’s new diesel engine on which they will introduce by the end of 2021. This engine will be seen on the Ertiga and Ciaz too. It will be a 1.5-litre diesel unit.
Features
The car will get a new infotainment system and most probably it will have wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The remote mobile phone connectivity will be enhanced and the car might get features like a remote start. Ventilated seats and a sunroof are too far fetched ideas for Maruti cars but we would like to see these features introduced into their cars.
On the Maruti Rs 9 lakh SUV, the design will be inspired by the current Vitara Brezza. It will have the bold looks of the Brezza but we will see some changes in the way this car adapts to the modern sharp design language. There will be a redesigned front, new alloy wheels, lights and side shoulder lines.
The launch date of this Rs 9 lakh SUV is not confirmed but the tentative time frame is at the start of the year 2022. This might be showcased at the Auto Expo 2022 if at all it takes place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
