ONGOLE: Prakasam district administration has decided to impose lockdown in district head quarter city Ongole and 18 other places in the district.
The restrictions on business activities and people movement will come into force from Thursday. According to district collector Pola Bhaskar, the decision has been taken keeping in view of the growing Covid-19 cases in the district. People will go out to purchase essentials from 6am to 10pm again from 4pm to 6pm.
There will be a complete curfew between 6pm to 6am and 10am to 4pm. No one will be allowed to move out on the streets and open the business outlets except in the allowed timings.

Similarly, Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) has decided to impose night curfew from April, 25. There will be night curfew from 7pm to 6am. City Mayor Kavati Siva Naga Manohar Naidu said that the decision to impose curbs has been taken to contain the outbreak of Covid-19 in the city. GMC commissioner C Anuradha said that city witnessed more number of Covid-19 cases for the past one week.
