ITR Refund Status: The Income Tax Department has announced that it has issued Income Tax Return (ITR) refund of over Rs 2,13,823 crore to more than 2.24 crore taxpayers between 1st April 2020 to 22nd March 2021. However, there are still some taxpayers who are found complaining that ‘ITR refund not received’ yet. For them, it’s advisable to check their ITR refund status online by logging in at the direct link — tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refund-status-pan.html. If the taxpayer wants to lodge ITR refund grievances, it can log in with the direct link — bit.ly/2YgCyk3 and enter the details sought by the Income Tax Department there.

ITR Refund Status Check Online
One can do the ITR Refund Status 2020-21 check online, they first need to long in through the direct link — tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refund-status-pan.html. After that, they will be redirected to the direct web page for ITR refund status check online. There they need to fill PAN card details, Assessment year 2020-21, CAPTCHA and click at the ‘Proceed’ button. One’s ITR refund status will become available immediately.

1] Log in at tin.tin.nsdl.com or at the direct link tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refund-status-pan.html;
2] Enter PAN Card details;
3] Select Assessment Year 2020-21;
4] Enter CAPTCHA code printed below the assessment year space;
5] Click at ‘Proceed’ button at the bottom; and
6] Your ITR refund status will become visible immediately.
The Income Tax Department recently informed the ITR refund tweeting, “CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 2,13,823 crore to more than 2.24 crore taxpayers between 1st April,2020 to 22nd March,2021. Income tax refunds of Rs. 79,483 crore have been issued in 2,21,92,812 cases & corporate tax refunds of Rs 1,34,340crore have been issued in 2,22,188 cases.”

For those taxpayers who have claimed ITR refund but yet to get claim, the Income Tax Department tweeted, “Hope you have connected with us on the link (……bit.ly/2YgCyk3) provided earlier. If so, please share your ticket id so that our team can get in touch with you.”

The Income Tax Department advised the taxpayers who are still waiting for the ITR refund to log in with the direct link — bit.ly/2YgCyk3 and fill in the details sought there and submit. The taxpayers grievance will be registered and its ITR refund will hopefully come to its bank account as soon as possible for the Income Tax Department.
