NEET 2020: The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency, NTA on September 13 at various test centres across the country. The NEET UG 2020 is held for admission to MBBS/BDS courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognised medical/dental and other colleges/ institutes in India.
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak and lockdown, the NEET exam was postponed. Earlier, the NEET 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 3.
Examination pattern:
- NEET (UG) 2020 is a pen and paper-based test, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable sheet using ball point pen
- The duration of test would be three hours
- Each question carries four marks
- For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
How to attempt NEET question paper?
In order to attempt the NEET 2020 question paper, all the candidates must keep the below mentioned points in mind:
1. It is ideal to spend 10 minutes in reading the entire paper to understand the questions.
2. If not possible, spend 3 minutes in reading the entire questions in each Subject section before
attempting the questions of that section.
3. Attempt only those questions in which you are 100 per cent confident, avoid negative markings.
4. Mark all lengthy (calculation) questions for review as it consumes more time and utilize time
effectively for the same.
5. Skip all unknown questions. Don’t waste time for the same.
6. Don’t try the Inky, Pinky, Ponky method in any questions.
7. Attempt Biology questions first. Finish the paper in 30- 40 minutes.
8. Attempt Chemistry questions 2nd (but if you are more confident in Physics then attempt Physics).
Take maximum 40 to 50 minutes for the same.
9. Attempt Physics questions last. Spend 60 minutes to 90 minutes in Physics
10. Attempt the subject in which you are weak at the last only.
