Sumona Chakravarti has been working with Kapil Sharma for many years now. From Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights With Kapil to The Kapil Sharma Show, the two have been part of several shows.
Sumona is best known as Kapil’s on-screen wife Manju Sharma in Comedy Nights With Kapil. She played Sarla in Season 1 of The Kapil Sharma Show while in Season 2 she’s seen as Bhoori.
The actress-comedienne recently took a break from work to holiday in Kenya at a serene place. Sumona had a quiet birthday in company of nature and wildlife at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. She was also seen spending time at a sprawling conservancy.
Sumona also tweeted about her very special birthday gift. “My Birthday Gift couldn’t get any better! A sight etched in my memory forever?? A big thank you for wishing me.. sending me ur love & blessings! Immensely grateful for it all. Much Love!” she wrote.
Kapil Sharma not only wished his show’s co-star on social media, but also made a personal call to her. Sumona however couldn’t take his call as she was too absorbed watching a lioness with her cubs.
“Wish u a very happy bday dear @sumona24 stay happy n healthy always. Lots of love,” wrote Kapil.
Sumona thanked him for the special wish and apologised for missing his call. “Thank u so much kappu. Missed ur call sorry… was busy watching a lioness with her cubs,” wrote Sumona.
