More and more people are looking for ‘vastu’ compliant homes now a days, a recent survey has revealed.
According to a study conducted by property portal Housing.com across eight major cities, nearly 93 percent of home buyers seek vastu compliant homes.
“Four out of every five prospective home buyers would like to know the vastu (ancient science of architecture as per Hindu tradition) of the property, even before physically checking the property”, the study said.
The company conducted the survey with a sample size of 328 individuals including brokers, architects and builders in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bengaluru.
It found nearly 33 percent of the buyers consider ‘directions’ in the house most important when it comes to choosing a property.
“Amongst this, direction of entrance takes precedence over that of kitchen, bathroom, puja rooms followed by set-up and arrangement of rooms and their sizes. Nearly 56 percent of the consumers believe that the entrance to the house is the most important factor in determining its vastu compliancy,”
the report said.
After direction, home buyers give preference to set-up and arrangement in the house followed by the positive impact of the property and last the ventilation and flow of energy.
It further noted that consumers show willingness to compromise on design in order to get a vastu compliant house.
